Comments from my corporate clients:

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for such an entertaining and inspirational talk you gave on Sunday. Your presentation will certainly help them "get a few messages" to make changes in their lives. Thank you also for all the wisdom you imparted- I could have listened to you all day.

A big whole-hearted thanks for your outstanding performance yesterday! What a pro, rolling so gracefully with all of the productions shifts, as they arose during the day. It’s a pleasure and an honor that you were our MC again this year, many thanks!

“Pinky Agnew was the icing on the cake. What a great finale.” I thought you would appreciate this little gem from amongst all the other accolades from our members following your presentation. Thank you for making us all laugh at you, laugh at ourselves, and laugh at everything else. The ladies loved you – you had clearly researched your subject. Thanks for being a wonderfully entertaining speaker and for bringing so much joy to our very successful conference. I doubt there was a dry eye in the house, you really hit the spot.

Thank you ever so much for an awesome day yesterday. I read a couple of your poems to my husband last night and he was in fits of laughter, just as we all were at the breakfast you spoke at.

A huge thank you for speaking at our workshop day. Your bright and bubbly personality energised us throughout the day, and still kept us on our toes at 4 pm! We admire you for the high level of preparation and commitment you demonstrated as you kept us motivated to seek and achieve higher levels of competency in our work. You are a splendid role model to us all.

From the Hairdressing and Beauty therapy team at Weltec, THANK YOU Pinky!!! for an absolutely FANTASTIC start to the second day of conference!

The feedback we received confirmed everything we believed...EVERYONE thought you were definitely the highlight, an amazing keynote speaker. Not only extraordinarily hilarious but obviously well researched. You used the industry information requested, transformed and performed your way, with incredible ease might I add, taking us all on "a journey" of your past and present!.

You personalised and made relevant our world of Hairdressing and Beauty therapy from the eyes of the outside world! It is certainly no mean feat to fully capture the attention of a crowd of creatives for an entire hour. CONGRATULATIONS!...you did it!! They all wanted to take you home with them and you obliged...via copies of your FABULOUS poems!

We really appreciated your energy, experiences and incredible talent. Thank you, once again, for a wonderful presentation.

Pinky is one of the better professionals we choose to work with.  If we see a need to change or add to her role Pinky takes it in her stride and delivers as if she has been practicing for months.   The words unflappable, professional and entertaining are what mostly comes to mind for us.  This makes Pinky an easy choice for us when looking for an MC.

In 2002 Pinky Agnew gave a keynote presentation [to 250 of the Chief Executives and Senior Managers of the New Zealand Public Service], supported by audio visuals, on where New Zealand has come from and where it is going over the next twenty years. It weaved together matters such as demographics, national identity and economic performance. The presentation was light-hearted and entertaining, but with a serious purpose. In effect the intention was to inform through entertainment.

In my view Ms Agnew carried this off to a very high standard. Her presentation provided an upbeat mood for the day and helped participants place the contributions of subsequent speakers in a broader, and important, context.

Entertaining and informing at the same time is not an easy balance to strike. My personal judgement, and the formal feedback from conference participants, confirmed that she got it right and this was a highlight of the day.

[Three times MC at annual awards dinner for Association of Consulting Engineers] We were impressed with Pinky’s diligence and patience in researching our organisation and our needs, so as to provide the best quality service possible. We found her approach to be highly professional.

And she delivered!

Displaying multiple talents, she excelled not only at facilitating our prestigious annual function, but also delivering appropriate and valuable entertainment. She also provided a natural ability to mingle with our guests. She has an unerring ability to make people feel at ease, and completely charmed the audience, including some of our more conservative engineering colleagues. It is not an easy task, making engineers come out of their shells.

What can we say? You were sensational! Seriously, thank you sincerely for being a part of our conference. Your after dinner address was perfectly targetted; a great way to introduce humour to a group who are struggling with change to their structure and responsibilities. The team received extremely good feedback, compliments and comments about how much you added to the enjoyment of the evening.

I am writing on behalf of the organising committee to thank you for your marvellous contribution to our NZSTA National Conference. The warmth of the applause following your performance was as heart-warming for us as it must have been for you! As organisers we were absolutely delighted to have such a great finale to the weekend.

We were particularly impressed by your professionalism. Your performance was not just enormously funny and inspiring, but also, clearly, very prepared and polished. The evaluation forms we asked trustees to fill out before they left the conference all came back with your performance rated as brilliant, and a real highlight of the conference.

I was at the Community Health Service function today and just had to write to say thank you for the talk you gave to us. We laughed all the way home in our Daihatsu! You pitched that session spot on, and had clearly done your homework and spoken to the right people. I felt really valued after your session and Matt's closing comments - a rare feeling for those of us in the nursing profession. Thank you so much - I really needed that.

Ruth, conference attendee, 2007

We want to say a BIG thank you to you for the fantastic service you provided to us at the Language, Education and Diversity Conference. We really enjoyed working with you and appreciated the professionalism with which you worked to contribute to making the conference such an outstanding success. Thanks again for your support and going the extra mile to make sure our needs and requirements were met.

Kylie (conference organiser) 2007

I just wanted to drop you a super-quick note to express my most heart-felt thanks for your speech Thursday night. It was AMAZING. And even when I'm using "Amazing" to describe it, I really feel like that's a huge under-statement and I'm not sure I'll ever be able to accurately describe just how Amazing it was. You motivated us, you inspired us, you were entertaining, and you somehow, through your investigative work, managed to not only figure out what exactly it IS an associate is/does, but really hit upon why we should take pride in BEING an Associate. I'm 100% positive that we could not have found a better speaker and am so incredibly thankful for your time and, more importantly, generosity.

Katie Ludwick, Judges’ Associates’ dinner, 2008

You were fabulous the way you melded that conference together Pinky. You were the bubbles in the champagne of it and made it all full of laughter and you shaped it. Thinking about it I see that you brought your gifts to this conference and helped to bring that special something that is not quite definable. Who else could have welcomed John Allen’s volcanic eruption so well? Or helped us to see the ridiculousness of our tokenistic environmental hypocrisies so tenderly, or helped each speaker to feel at home and safe and honoured. You were just beautiful. I have never been to a conference where they have had an MC who works so skilfully, with such artistry and creativity. And it was the deep wisdom that you brought for the timeless ancients that married with the mirth to bring a sense of great perspective and humanity to it. And you did it all as if it were effortless. I loved it. Your personality shone through the entire conference bringing all the best out of us.

Some comments from Human Resources Institute of New Zealand (HRINZ) Conference 2008 attendees:

Pinky is wonderful and engaging – certainly adds immense value. Her charm, humour and wit are superb.

She was awesome. I love the way she thanked the presenters and managed to mention something about their talk as well. GREAT!!!!

Just sublime, as usual.

Her ability to pull the sessions together with patience and charm helped make the whole programme for me.

I love the way Pinky does her homework and is able to introduce and link between speakers in a relevant way.
